# Adding DBMS_CLOUD to our Oracle Container Database - UPDATE

This morning, [Steve Muench](https://bsky.app/profile/stevemuench.bsky.social) pointed out something in my recent post about [Adding DBMS\_CLOUD to your Oracle Container Database](https://spendolini.blog/adding-dbmscloud-to-our-oracle-container-database): It is no longer necessary to configure a database wallet in Oracle Database 23ai!

[Connor McDonald](https://bsky.app/profile/connormcd.bsky.social) provides the details [here](https://connor-mcdonald.com/2024/05/04/23ai-leave-your-wallet-at-home/) on his blog.

Thus, I’ve removed that entire section from that post, as it’s just not needed. If you already went through the exercise and added a wallet, that’s fine, too. Simply remove the last three lines of the `sqlnet.ora` file and everything should still work.

This is just another small but significant and time-saving feature of Oracle 23ai designed to make development faster and easier.
